Ed Walline Regional Beach Access
Your closest and most reliable access point — free parking, clean restrooms, and the signature emerald water 30A is famous for. Gets busy by 10am in peak season. Go early, stay late, or time it for the 4–6pm golden hour window when the light is extraordinary and the morning crowd is gone.
"Park, walk straight to the water, turn left. The crowd thins out fast if you just walk 200 yards."

Grayton Beach State Park
One of the top-rated beaches in the United States and genuinely worth a morning. The dunes, the Western Lake, and the relative quiet compared to 30A corridor beaches make this the most beautiful beach day you can have in the area. $6 entry per vehicle. Go on a weekday if possible.
"Walk the nature trail around Western Lake after the beach — it takes 30 minutes and almost no one does it."

Seaside Beach Access
The beach in front of Seaside — the planned community made famous by The Truman Show — is one of the most picturesque stretches on the entire Gulf Coast. The amphitheater, food trucks, and surrounding pastel architecture make it a full experience, not just a swim. Great for an afternoon visit.

CR 393 Public Lot
Located just north of Shunk Gulley and Gulf Place, the newly opened 393 Transit Hub brings a major upgrade to parking and beach access near Ed Walline. The facility now includes 74 parking spaces, ADA-accessible spots, bike racks, LSV parking, public restrooms, and a dog-walking area—all within a modern, thoughtfully designed structure.

Long-standing, laid-back eatery on the beach with an eclectic menu plus an open-air bar upstairs. Book 2+ weeks in advance for summer. The rooftop bar is first-come-first-served and worth showing up for at 5:30pm.

Timpoochee Trail — 30A Bike Path
19 miles of paved path running the length of 30A through beach towns, dune lakes, and state parks. One of the most scenic bike rides in Florida. You have two beach cruisers in the garage — this is what they're for. Start at Ed Walline and ride east toward Seaside for the best stretch.
"Ride to Seaside, have breakfast or coffee, ride back. 2 hours, completely flat, the best way to see 30A."

Point Washington State Forest
5 minutes north of Salt and Sage and genuinely beautiful — longleaf pine flatwoods, scrub oak, and miles of unpaved trails that feel completely removed from the 30A tourist scene. Free entry. Go early morning for the best wildlife. The forest is spectacular in any season but magical in fall.
"Download the AllTrails map before you go — cell service is spotty on some trails."

Choctawhatchee Bay
Your backyard. Redfish, speckled trout, and flounder year-round — bring the fishing poles from the garage. Calm water makes it ideal for kayaking in the morning. Rent kayaks locally or use paddle boards if you bring them. The bay sunrise is something you should not skip.
